Carved plaster statuette finished in old gold. In her 29 November 1910 letter accompanying the sending to Ye Arts & Crafts Shop in Honolulu, Hawaii of an assortment of 35 pieces of her seventeen “best studies,” Elizabeth does list “1 girl reading (Statuete).” She does not state that piece was finished in old gold but does mention having “given a touch of old gold” to some others of those pieces, adding, “it makes them more attractive to the general public.”
